Bought the wrong plan? An unused, never-activated eSIM can be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase. See our refund policy for the full terms.
Fixed data plans give you a set amount of data, for example 1 GB or 5 GB, to use at full speed for the whole plan period. When it runs out, you top up or buy again. Pick this if you know roughly how much you'll use.
Unlimited plans have no total data cap for the plan period, but each day includes a high-speed allowance. Once you use that day's allowance, you carry on at a reduced speed. Reduced-speed data has a daily limit too, and if you reach it, data pauses until the allowance resets 24 hours after you activate the eSIM. Pick this for heavier or less predictable use. A fair-use policy applies.
Pay As You Go is not a plan at all. You add credit once and it comes off by the megabyte at the local rate as you use it, so you never pay for data you do not finish. Credit never expires, data pauses when the balance hits zero, and the same eSIM keeps working across every country we cover. It costs more per gigabyte than a plan, so pick this for light or hard to predict use rather than heavy days.
Add your other stops and we check whether one regional eSIM costs less.
Estonia's mobile operators are Telia, Elisa and Tele2. If the networks ever go down in a crisis, the government's advice is to switch off battery-hungry functions, go outside and look for a higher spot for signal, and keep some cash, since card payments could be disrupted too.
Authorities can text phones in a risk area through EE-ALARM, including SIMs from other countries, which generally get it in English. Without an Estonian number, it comes from +372 5950 0000, so don't mistake it for spam. The Ole valmis! app also carries instructions.
Drivers on Tallinn's buses and trams don't sell tickets. Instead, tap a contactless bank card on a validator each time you board: every tap buys a one-hour ticket, and enough rides in one day add up to a day ticket, after which further rides that day are free.
The state helpline gives official information, including during warning tests. From abroad, call +372 600 1247. Source: Estonia's Emergency Response Centre.

Your Estonia eSIM roams onto tier-1 local partner networks, connecting automatically to the strongest available signal — with no roaming setup beyond turning the eSIM on.

Amsterdam to Budapest in 14 days: which train to book on each leg, the day trips worth taking, and why one regional eSIM covers all five countries.

Ljubljana to Kotor in 14 days: which legs are trains and which are buses, where your EU plan quietly stops working, and how much data the route really needs.

Germany, Switzerland and Italy in 14 nights. Both legs got much faster since 2021, and the country in the middle is the one your roaming plan misses.

Telia, Elisa and Tele2 blanket the mainland; the Saaremaa ferry and its causeway still go quiet. How much data an Estonia trip needs, and what EU roaming skips.

One travel eSIM for Europe covers 39 countries: what's included, how much data two weeks takes, and the countries that need extra care.

Which networks you'll ride, how much data a week in France really takes, and how to be online before you leave the airport.
