Singapore's regulator IMDA sets coverage standards every mobile operator must meet, covering outdoor areas, buildings, MRT stations and tunnels, and tests them island-wide. In practice you can usually stay online even on the train underground.

30-day passport SIMs
Singapore operators limit prepaid SIMs registered with a passport to 30 days: M1's prepaid terms, for example, say the card is terminated unless you re-register with a Singapore-issued ID or work pass. Bring your passport if you buy one, and don't count on keeping the number.

Most visitors must submit the SG Arrival Card within three days before arriving. ICA says it is free on its website or the MyICA Mobile app, and it doesn't endorse companies that charge a fee to file it for you.
