Bought the wrong plan? An unused, never-activated eSIM can be refunded in full within 30 days of purchase. See our refund policy for the full terms.
Fixed data plans give you a set amount of data, for example 1 GB or 5 GB, to use at full speed for the whole plan period. When it runs out, you top up or buy again. Pick this if you know roughly how much you'll use.
Unlimited plans never run out during the plan period, but each day includes a high-speed allowance. Once you use that day's allowance, you stay connected at a reduced speed until it resets 24 hours after you activate the eSIM. Pick this for heavier or less predictable use. A fair-use policy applies.
Pay As You Go is not a plan at all. You add credit once and it comes off by the megabyte at the local rate as you use it, so you never pay for data you do not finish. Credit never expires, data pauses when the balance hits zero, and the same eSIM keeps working across every country we cover. It costs more per gigabyte than a plan, so pick this for light or hard to predict use rather than heavy days.
Sort Suriname's entry paperwork online before you travel: depending on your passport, that's an entry fee voucher, tourist card or e-visa from the official e-visa portal, and airlines can ask for proof at check-in. Everyone also completes the Immigration and Customs Form, up to three days before arriving and before leaving.
More than 85% of Suriname is pristine jungle, and UK advice says to use a well-established tour company for trips into the interior. Canada adds that you should never trek alone and that roads are generally poor outside the main centres, so allow extra time for any overland leg.
Suriname gets two rainy seasons, from May to August and from November to February. Seasonal flooding can then hamper overland travel and disrupt essential services, Canada's travel advice says, so build some slack into road and river plans in those months.
