One eSIM, one device: here's why
An eSIM is a digital SIM profile that installs directly onto a phone's built-in eSIM chip. When you install a Zwitchy eSIM, it's tied to that specific device. It can't be copied, cloned, or run on two phones at once, the same way a plastic SIM card only sits in one phone at a time.

The good news: you can share the data
Even though the profile lives on one device, the data allowance is yours to share. The phone with the eSIM installed becomes a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot, and any nearby device (a laptop, a tablet, or a travel companion's phone) can connect to it and browse through your plan.

How tethering works

Turn on Personal Hotspot (iPhone)
- Open Settings and tap Personal Hotspot (or Settings, then Cellular, then Personal Hotspot).
- Switch on Allow Others to Join.
- Note the Wi-Fi password shown, or tap it to set your own.
- On your laptop or tablet, choose your iPhone's name from the Wi-Fi list and enter the password.
Turn on Mobile Hotspot (Android)
- Open Settings, then Network & internet, then Hotspot & tethering.
- Tap Wi-Fi hotspot and switch it on.
- Set or view the hotspot name and password.
- On the other device, connect to that Wi-Fi network using the password.

- Keep the hosting phone plugged in or carry a power bank. Running a hotspot drains the battery quickly.
